Video Conferencing

Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi interacted with the Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries around the country through Video Conferencing on 28 th May, 2018. Hon’ble PM listened to the views of the beneficiaries of this scheme and also shared his perspective on how the Ujjwala Yojana has strengthened the lives of the poor, marginalised, Dalits and Tribal communities. The initiative is playing a central role in social and women empowerment as Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is leading to better health for the ‘Nari Shakti’ of our country.

To further strengthen the reach and provide a support system to the beneficiaries of this scheme, LPG Panchayats are being held across the nation, where key information regarding Ujjwala Yojana and safety measures are discussed. Hon’ble PM also shared his views on how Ujjwala Yojana has helped the women to cook faster which helps them to spend more time with their children and family member. Now the children do not go hungry during monsoon season as their mother can now cook variety of foods. The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana has enhanced the quality of life for the people Below Poverty Line.
