How to Apply for Divyang Pension

Applying for the Divyangjan Pension Yojana 2025 has now become much easier. You don’t need to visit a CSC (Common Service Centre) anymore; everything can be done right from the comfort of your home. Just follow these steps with care:

Step 1: Prepare Your Documents

Before starting, make sure you have:

  • Your UDID (Unique Disability ID) number
  • A valid Disability Certificate mentioning the percentage and type of disability
  • Family ID (Parivar Pehchan Patra) login details
  • Your registered mobile number (linked to Family ID)

Step 2: Visit the Official Family ID Portal

Visit the official Parivar Pehchan Patra (Family ID) portal for your state. Log in with your Family ID credentials. This is where your family details are stored.

Step 3: Select the Beneficiary

Once logged in, choose the option for “Update / Correction”. Select the family member for whom you are applying for the Divyang Pension.

Step 4: Verify with OTP

Click Send OTP. An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Enter it carefully to verify your request.

Step 5: Fill Disability Details

A new window will appear where you must:

  • Select Disability Category (e.g., hearing, visual, locomotor, etc.)
  • Choose whether your disability is Permanent or temporary.
  • Enter the Certificate Date and Disability Percentage
  • Provide your UDID number.
  • Mention the Medical Officer’s Name (as printed on your certificate)

Step 6: Upload Supporting Documents

Scan and upload all necessary supporting documents, including your disability certificate. Double-check that the uploaded file is clear and accurate.

Step 7: Submit and Track Your Application

After reviewing all details, click Submit. Your application will be sent to the concerned authority (BDPO office) for verification. You can also check the status and grievances directly on the portal.

Once approved, your pension will start getting credited to your bank account within a short time.

Tip: Be patient during verification. Keeping your documents neat, valid, and updated will speed up the approval process.
