Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was launched in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir by Hon'ble CM Mohtarma Mehbooba Mufti, Hon'ble MoS (I/C) MoPNG Shri Dharmendra Pradhan and Hon'ble MoS (I/C) DONER & MoS PMO Dr. Jitendra Singh on 28 september 2016. 10 LPG connections were handed over to women from BPL families at the event. Speaking on the Ocassion, Shri Pradhan announced that 10 Lakh LPG connections will be released in Jammu & Kashmir in next 2 years and no APL/BPL family will be deprived of LPG. The event was also graced with the presence of the Deputy CM Dr. Nirmal Kumar Singh and Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali Minister of Food, Civil supplies & Consumer Affairs, Jammu & Kashmir.
